Follow-Up with the Experts on C. difficile Management Ask the Experts: Existing and Novel Therapeutics in the Management of Recurrent Clostridioides difficile Infection This 1-hour interprofessional educational activity examines recent data on Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) and uses a case-based approach to apply recommendations to the management of recurrent CDI (rCDI). CDI is one of the most common healthcare-associated infections and the most common cause of mortality in patients with gastroenteritis in the United States. rCDI has been shown to be associated with increased morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs, as well as having a negative impact on the patient’s quality of life. Recent updates to guidelines have resulted in practitioners having varying treatment and management options for CDI. This webinar will review the pathogenesis of CDI that can lead to rCDI episodes and explore the role of current and emerging therapeutics in the interprofessional management of rCDI. Please note: when accessing our eLearning system, activities for this initiative can be completed in any order.
